Spring Has Sprung for Moto & Oso!

Spring Has Sprung for Moto & Oso!

Happy Spring, Oso!

This is the best time of year!  The weather is great, there are SOOOOO many smells.
Mom says that we should stop to smell the flowers but licking, chewing and rolling around in them is a No No.

She says there are some real pretty ones, but they are very dangerous for us dogs. Some of the dangerous ones we see on our walks are tulips, hyacinths, daffodils and azaleas.  That’s ok cuz I’d rather eat Mom’s treats than flowers any day.

But rolling around…..that’s the best part of spring!

Mom lets me roll around in the grass.  It scratches my itches, massages my back and cools me off.  Mom laughs at me and says I look silly but I know if she tried it she would love it tooooooo.  She says we need to watch out for fleas and ticks but she gives me some stuff to take care of that, so I’m not worried.

What do you like about spring ‘lil guy?

Hey Moto!

Spring is going great for me, I like it A LOT because there are so many things to smell when I sit outside!  I don’t roll around much because it irritates my skin.  I have sensitive skin; my mom makes me go in this big thing up high and turns water on and washes me with what she calls “shampoo that’s good for dry skin.”  I don’t like it one bit, but I do like running around rolling on all her dry stuff afterwards.

Mom lets me smell some flowers on our walk, but she is super cautious about these spikey brown things called fox tails.  I’m not sure what they are but she won’t even let me go on the grass if she sees them.  Me, I don’t pay attention, so I guess I’m grateful that she is around to look out for me.  I’d pee on everything if I could!

She also gives my feet a little wipe once we are done with our walk.  I don’t like that either!  I don’t think I need to be washed or wiped down, but she assures me it’s to help with my allergies.  I tend to lick my toe beans a lot.

Sometimes I just want to be a carefree dog without all these rules but then I remember all our fosters dogs who have stayed (without my permission) at our place.  A lot of them have come from living outside without anyone to look out for them.  Even if it’s nice weather like we have now in springtime there are a lot of other scary things in this big world.

They didn’t have anyone to look out for them and tell them not to  pee on foxtails or  roll  in the scary flowers.  So, I guess we’re pretty lucky, huh Moto!

My mom gave me these links below, to help educate other fur babes on allergies and big bad scary plants in the spring!

She also said don’t forget to wish all the fur babe Mom’s a very happy Mom’s day.  I don’t know about you, Moto, but I didn’t have any doggy pesos to get my mom a gift but I will wake her up with kisses on Sunday morning!
